My last summer vacation

As usually we do a oral presentation about our last summer. Here you have the video. The writing will be uploaded in a short period.

The last movie I've seen

The last movie I've seen is called Doctor Strangelove. It's one of the first films by Stanley Kubrik (the director of 2001: odyssey in space, the shinning and clockwork orange) and the movie was in black and white. In the cast there's the famous comedy actor Peter Sellers, who interprets three diferent characters. The movie is a critical view about the cold war. So I should tell you a bit about the plot: in the film, an American army general decides to order some planes to attack Russia with atomic bombs accusing comunists to have poisoned water. He also shuts down all comunications in the military base and tells his men to shoot anyone who comes closer than five miles to the base. The planes' radio system has a password (wich only the general knows) so nobody can contact them either. The president of the U.S.A, the ambassador of Russia, a German scientist called Dr. Strangelove (Peter Sellers) and other high rank officials will have to find a solution to a closer coming nuclear catastrophe.

New sequels this term!

This fall new sequels of great movies (and also new great movies) are awaiting here I'll show you some of my favourites:

Sin City: a dame to kill for

A return to the highly-stylised, hyper-violent world of Frank Miller's Sin City comics. A film that should be visually captivating, capturing the neo-noir aesthetic of the comics, but with very little heart.

Ender's Game

Based on a great science-ficition book. It is the story of a military school were kids play increasingly difficult war games. The kids are trained to be battle comanders in the battle  between earth and an alien enemy. One kid distinguishes himself from the others...

Catching fire

The second book of the hunger games series explains how Katniss Everdeen is forced back into the hunger game's arena. Meanwhile the rebellion begins in the districts and Katniss is it's simbol. But will she be able to survive the hunger games again?

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

Many peoplefound that watching the first part of The Hobbit, filmed using ultra-fast 48 frames-per-second 3D technology, made them feel so nauseous that they wanted to vomit. If that was not the case for you, here is the second episode in Peter Jackson's trilogy about young Bilbo Baggins...and this time, there's a dragon!
