The Godfather

The Godfather are a series of movies known as some of the best made in history. They've been directed by Francis Ford Coppola (Apocalypse Now, The Conversation...) it starrs some of the best American actors like Al Pacino, Marlon Brando and Robert de Niro. It includes great camera shooting astoundishing music and a incredibly good script. The God father tells us the story of an Italian màfia family. The first movie presents us how mafia's work with Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) as the head of the family and how his son, Michel  Corleone (Al Pacino), ascends in power. The second tells us of the origins of the mafia with Robert de Niro acting as young Vito Corleone. The last film shows how the mafia falls and starrs Sofia Coppola. The movies have won many awards including the Academy's best Picture and Director awards.

My last summer vacation

Introduction

Today we are going to answer two diferent questions about the English language. We are going to tell you were English is spoken and why is English such an important language nowadays. We are also going to answer any questions you have about the power point.
In what countries is English the official language? Map.

Where English is spoken around the world

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE: U.S.A, Canada, Australia, Guyana, Ireland, United Kingdom, Bahamas, South Africa, New Zealand and many Caribbean islands.

SECOND LANGUAGE: Sudan, Cameroon, Nigeria, Madagascar, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Togo, India, Malta, New Guinea

Why is English so important nowadays?

Because nowadays everybody must know English as a second language. It's also the most used language in the buisness world and all of the trademarks need people who know English. Also, the most famous trademarks are from U.S.A.

My last summer vacations

Observations:

The vocabulary was good but my powerpoint didn't work and that totally ruined my oral presentation. I used discourse markers like after, I also and then. At least I organized my ideas and I didn't read from my notes (because I didn't have any). But I spoke really quiet and it was really hard to hear me. And that is the reason why my mark should be an 8.

Alba: She went to Andorra and Eivissa.

Anna: She went to Llavaneras, Plymouth and Scotland.

Hello my name is Enric and I'm going to talk to you about my Summer holidays.

First I’m going to talk about the week that I spent in Paris. Since we are in crisis we went to Paris by car (that's 9 or 10 hours inside a car!). I went to Paris with my family and we rented an apartment.

In Paris we went to a lot of clothing shops and we got really tired for walking a lot but the food in France is really good . We also went to the Fnac, which is a really big shopping center were they sell books, movies, computers and video games.

We had a great time in Paris and we  visited the Louvre and we also saw the Mona Lisa and went to the Sainte Chapelle, etc. And at the end of our trip we went to the Eiffel tower and we saw really impressive sights.

When we went back from Paris we went to our grandfathers' summerhouse in a lonely and calm village called Tortella during a week and It was really hot (but they have a very big town pool).

Some friends from other countries also came to visit us from Israel and Switzerland and stayed for a few days. And the days I was in Banyoles I met my friends and went to the pool.

So I had a very good Summer!
